Vintage Heathkit Model T-4 Visual-Aural Signal Tracer Up for auction is one (1) Working Heathkit Model T-4 Visual-Aural Signal Tracer including re-production manual. This vintage Heathkit Model T-4 Visual-Aural Signal Tracer unit is in near perfect original and working condition. There is only minimal/minor scratches on the face plate and the case is also in VG cosmetic condition. This T-4 includes one 4' Probe input lead for RF and Audio, two 20" panel test leads with alligator clips and one reproduction Heathkit assembly and use manual. Along with the usual cleanup, the 12AX7, 12CA5 and 1629 eye tube have been tested for shorts, emissions and grid leakage and all test well. Everything looks to be on great shape. Introduction (from manual) The Heathkit Visual-Aural Signal Tracer Model T-4 is a compact, service-designed instrument incorporating many features that meet the everyday needs of the service technician. Some of the features and application are listed below: High gain position for direct signal tracing in RF or IF circuits. High gain position for signal tracing in audio circuits. Convenient RF or audio switch in probe body. Tracer may be used for AM, FM, and TV circuit exploration. Visual signal indicator. Noise locator circuit. Utility amplifier for checking record changers, tuners, etc. Useful for checking microphones, musical instruments, pickups, and speakers. Substitution speaker and output transformer.
