Up for bids is this vintage McIntosh MX110 Stereophonic Preamplifier. The preamp is in good cosmetic condition, the face is very clean. There are a few small scratches on the top front edge and on the black boxes on top of the chassis. The chassis is very shiny with a couple of very small rough spots. The Mode Selector knob is a bit loose and the Power-on knob is missing but still can be turned on and off. The sonic condition is fair, the preamp has good sound but sometimes it gets a hum or light buzz. Also when you put your hand close to it, the volume increases by itself. I was told that maybe needs grounding, a good antenna, or the tubes are going kaput. I don't have the case for the preamp. I can't locate the panlock brackets but if I find them, they will be included with it. The preamplifier measures 16" wide x 14" deep x 5 1/2" high and weighs around 23 Lb.
