You are bidding on a fully "Hot Rod" modded H.H. Scott LC-21stereo tube preamplifier that was recently restored by by Foster "Scott Fixer" Blair. This Scott LC-21 has the same series of "Supermods" that Mr Blair currently performs on the Mapleshade H.H. Scott stereo tube preamps which include; updated power supply rectifier, updated phono stage, all signal bypass caps replaced with modern equivalents, audio path tone control bypass switch for vintage tone or clean natural sound, precision stepped volume control, professionally clear coated front panel for added protection on the control lettering and artwork, original H.H. Scott control knobs and power cord. The unit will ship with six vintage unmarked USA made 12AX7A tubes and one H.H. Scott 6X4 rectifier tube. Aesthetically, this LC-21 is in very good to mint condition with very little surface wear. The deck is clear with no rust and no pitting and most if not all of the original lettering is intact. The faceplate in in very good condition and has a few tiny scratches on the edge that were there before it was professionally clear coated. It also has no bends and most of the lettering and artwork in intact, except around the volume control which had worn lettering from normal use (this portion of the faceplate was touched up prior to clear coat). The brass ring inserts on all of the original knobs are intact. Other than that, the surface is smooth and has a glass like appearance that gives it a luxurious appearance like the vintage McIntosh gear!
